We are in a very critical time period in our legislature. In the fall, we will have elections for the House of Representatives, the Senate and for Governor. There will be a battle for a number of seats and the outcome will affect our industry one way or another. We will be losing many legislators who are friendly to our industry. The people waiting in line for their seats can either hurt us or help us.

In a time when anti-timber groups are spending large amounts of money on advertising campaigns to discredit our industry, we need to come together and get the message out to the very people who are molding our state's legislation. They need to know the truth about our industry and about our sustainable forests.
